Ambala Cantt railway station will be renovated, division gets Rs 2809.88 crore

Ambala News: Indian Railways takes great care of the service and safety of its passengers. According to the information received recently, a plan is being made to rejuvenate the Ambala Cantt railway station under the Amrit Bharat Station Project. 

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that 34 railway stations are being rejuvenated in India. These include Ambala City, Kalka, Yamunanagar, Jagadhri, Amb, Andaura and Shimla railway stations under Ambala Division in Northern Railways.

The Railway Minister said that an amount of approximately 2666.5 crore rupees will be spent on eight railway sections under Ambala division. Apart from this, an amount of 143.38 crore rupees will be spent for closing the railway gates and equipping them with other amenities including under and overbridges. 

Chandigarh Railway Station will also be constructed on which an amount of approximately 93 crore rupees will be spent. In its first budget, the Central Government has sanctioned an amount of approximately 3383 crore rupees for railway development work in the state of Haryana. In this, a total of 2809.88 crore rupees has been sanctioned for Ambala division alone.

Railway stations will be improved

Under Ambala division, an approved amount of Rs 500 crore has been approved for the new railway line Nangal Dam-Talwara, Rs 300 crore for Chandigarh to Baddi rail line, Rs 1700 crore for Bhanupali-Bilaspur-Beri rail line, Rs 99.98 crore for completion of Rajpura-Bathinda doubling work and Rs 66.59 crore for Ludhiana-Kilaraipur rail line.

The central government will spend approximately Rs 2662 crore to complete the new railway lines and pending works. An amount of Rs 1 crore has been approved for the Chandigarh Yamuna Nagar link rail line. This rail line has been lying idle for a long time. 

Similarly, Rs 1 crore has been approved for Rajpura-Mohali, Rs 1 crore for Unnao and Hamirpur, and Rs 1 crore has been approved to complete the incomplete work of Ambala and Chandigarh line.

Over bridge and other development works

Keeping in mind the saving of time of passengers, the Railways has decided to build many railway over bridges and underpasses. For this, Rs 30.5 crore has been sanctioned. Rs 19.88 crore has been sanctioned for information and telecommunication works.

It will cost Rs 500 crore

Ambala Cantt Railway Station will be renovated by spending approximately Rs 500 crore. Its report has been prepared and sent to the Railway Divisional Manager. Which has been sent to the Railway Board for approval. 

After this, Ambala Cantt station will be provided with many facilities. According to the Pink Book, Rs 2500 crore will be spent to build five new railway lines in Ambala Cantt. Rs 165 crore will be spent for the strengthening of railway lines, Rs 30.5 crore for over bridge, Rs 19.88 crore for information and telecommunication, Rs 93 crore for many facilities for passengers. After this development work is done, passengers will not face any problem in traveling. Passengers will get better rail connectivity.
