India's first sound proof highway... No sound of honking or banging of vehicles is heard during the 29 km journey

Unique Expressway: Be it a long drive on the expressway or highway or travelling by car on the roads within the city. The noise of vehicles in traffic is the most annoying. 

But the road we are going to tell you about today is sound proof. There is neither noise of vehicles nor sound there. The fun of travelling on this unique expressway of India is something else. 

First sound proof expressway  

National Highway 44 holds the title of the country's first light and sound proof highway. A highway built 4 years ago was made sound proof. 

This highway located in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh is a unique highway in itself. Actually, the area through which this highway passes, there is a Tiger Reserve Buffer Area. Due to which this highway has been made sound proof and light proof.  

The longest highway  

India's longest highway NH 44 connects Kashmir to Kanyakumari. On a 3745 km long highway, a 29 km journey has been made sound proof. 

There is no noise of vehicles in this 29 km journey. This light and sound proof route passes through the buffer area of ​​Pench National Park. It has been made sound and light proof so that the animals are not disturbed by the sound and light.  

How to make it sound proof  

Sound barriers and headlight reducers have been installed to make this highway sound proof. A 4 meter high steel wall has been installed so that the animals are not disturbed by the sound and light of the vehicles. 

Not only this, there is a suggestion to build animal underpasses on the highway so that animals can easily cross the highway. For the convenience of animals, about 14 animal underpasses have been built in a 3.5 km stretch of the highway. 

However, building a sound proof highway is not that easy. Rs 950 crore was spent in building this sound and light proof highway project.
