UP School Rule: School timings changed in this city, traffic will be manual
UP School Rule: The Meteorological Department in UP has issued a forecast regarding the temperature, in which it has been said that the temperature and heat waves are going to increase. Due to which, DM Krishna Karunesh in UP has made many changes in the timetable and traffic arrangements in all the schools regarding the EI forecast.
On Tuesday, all government and non-government schools, up to class 12th, will remain closed till 12:30 pm. Similarly, from 12 noon to 3 pm the traffic system will work automatically instead of automatic traffic lights.
DM said that the Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature will increase between April and June, 2024 and there will be heat waves.
Therefore, the District's Heatwave Action Plan-2024 has been updated and coordinated guidelines for rescue have been issued to all departments, in compliance with the directions of the State Disaster Management Authority.
Keeping in view the safety of students, all government, council, aided and recognized schools from classes 1 to 12 will remain open from 7:30 am to 12:30 noon with prior notice from April 16.
Also, school managements have been instructed to ensure availability of essential medicines in schools, as well as provide ORS packets and pure drinking water. Outdoor school activities should be banned immediately. Make students aware to avoid heat wave and spread awareness messages from the disaster office on the school notice board.
The DM has warned that strict action will be taken against those violating the instructions if they continue to operate schools even after the stipulated time limit. On the other hand, following the instructions of the DM, till Monday evening many schools (Carmel, St. Joseph, Little Flower, HP, Pillars) sent messages to the mobile phones of the parents.
Immediate green signal at places with high traffic
To help, the DM has instructed the SP Traffic to use yellow lights on the roads from 12 noon to 3 pm and while operating the traffic on manual mode, the fare should be cleared as soon as possible in the direction which has more traffic load. For example, traffic signals from 15 to 25 minutes at intersections should be reduced to 30 to 45 seconds, so that people do not have to stand in the sun for long.
Awareness messages will be played to protect against heat and heat waves
DM Krishna Karunesh said that this time also the District Disaster Management Authority will put up jingles at all the intersections every hour to prevent heat wave.
Orders have been given to the Municipal Corporation for this. Besides, the Corporation has also been entrusted with the task of requesting the traders and distinguished public to ensure free availability of pure drinking water at various intersections through the control room.
OARS AND ENOUGH WATER AT BOOTHS
Disaster Department coordinator Gautam Gupta said that the district administration is alert about heat and heat wave even on the day of voting. District Election Officer and DM Krishna Karunesh has ordered to give 50-50 ORS at all the booths. Same thing will happen if there is proper arrangement for drinking water there.
