Mobile app launched to stop electricity theft in UP, now the game of store reading will end
Mr journalist News Uttar Pradesh: Big news has come out for electricity consumers in Uttar Pradesh. For information, let us tell you that there has been a big discrepancy in the bills of consumers. Big discrepancies have come to light in the bills of four lakh electricity consumers in UP.
When the officials came to know the truth, they were also surprised. In fact, these four lakh consumers have consumed only five to ten units of electricity, which means that their electricity bills are from 66 to 100. The officials of the electricity corporation themselves are not able to find out how this happened. Later, senior officials of the electricity department held a marathon discussion in Lucknow on making bills of 5 to 10 units.
The IT department of the electricity department created a mobile app to find out the reality of electricity consumption of five to ten units. With this app, the officials of the electricity department will be able to know whether five to ten units of electricity are actually being consumed or electricity theft is taking place. The app will tell how much reading is stored in the meter.
The app will also find out the electricity consumption and requirement. The mobile app will hide the reality of five to tenth unit electricity bills of four lakh consumers. Meter readers, JE, SDO and XEN will use the mobile app. SE has to take care of checking.
Bareilly and Hardoi of UP top the list
Bareilly and Hardoi districts are in the first place in UP in terms of electricity bills being generated with low readings. Sitapur district is in second place. Not only this, there are thousands of consumers in many districts of Rae Bareli, Gonda and Ayodhya region who consume five to ten units of electricity every month.
The game of storing readings in the meter will end
Now the meter reader has also been given the responsibility of checking the stored reading, whereas earlier the bill for less units was made by manipulating the meter reader.
Shahjahanpur Superintending Engineer JP Verma said that checking through mobile app will end the game of storing reading in the meter and those making bills of 10 units will be easily caught. All JEs and SDOs were asked to conduct the test.
