Emphasis will be laid on colorful lights, rangoli and other decorative elements to create a festive atmosphere and attract more and more people to the markets.

Khandelwal said that in anticipation of a sharp rise in demand during the festive season, traders have started stocking various items like gift items, clothes, jewellery, electronics, mobile phones, décor items, puja items, rangoli, idols and pictures of gods and goddesses, readymade clothes, toys, food items, confectionery, electrical goods, consumer durables etc.
