Townships will be built in these 7 cities of UP, people will be given houses at affordable prices
Mr Journalist News UP: Uttar Pradesh government is continuously working fast to increase the pace of development. In this series, Yogi government will build townships in 7 cities of UP. Some time ago the government had approved a proposal of Rs 1000 crore for this. The aim of the Uttar Pradesh government is to provide housing facilities to the urban population in an integrated manner in the urban areas. This scheme has been started.
Developed in 7 big cities
Township will be constructed in UP under the Urban Expansion Incentive Scheme. This township will be developed in 7 big cities like Bareilly, Bulandshahr, Kanpur, Agra, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, Gorakhpur. After the construction of these townships, people will get cheap houses. People's dream of buying cheap houses will be fulfilled in these cities
In the first phase, Rs 1000 crore has been allocated to the Vice Chairman Lucknow Development Authority for the construction of township. In this, Gorakhpur will be given Rs 400 crore, Jhansi will be given Rs 90 crore, Bareilly Rs 100 crore, Bulandshahr Rs 100 crore, Agra Rs 150 crore, Aligarh Rs 150 crore, Chitrakoot Rs 10 crore. With this money, the seven development authorities will acquire land and build townships.
Under this scheme, a provision has been made to give up to 50% of the cost of land acquisition to the authorities as seed capital by the state government for a maximum period of 20 years.
In the current financial year also, a provision of Rs 3,000 crore has been made under the scheme. This amount will be given on priority to those authorities which neither have a land bank nor sufficient money to acquire land to develop townships.
