The objective of this project is to build a new railway line from Bateshwar place on the Bhagalpur side to Kataria in Navgachia on the other side of the Ganga. With this both the banks will merge into Ganga. It will be easy to reach Ranchi from Purnia, Katihar, Araria and Kishanganj of Seemanchal region of Bihar by railway.

Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnav gave approval

On the initiative of Godda MP Nishikant Dubey, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has also approved the 23 kilometer historical bypass line. The Railway Minister said that the process of its approval is going on at the cabinet level and the work will start very soon.

The railway line will run 120 kilometers from Deoghar to Naugachhia via Hansdiha, Godda, Pirpainti, Vikramshila and Bateshwar. The work of this 127 kilometer line has been completed. By connecting both sides of Ganga near Bateshwar place by railway bridge, the railway line will increase by 23 kilometers.

This line will also serve as five bypasses

It is noteworthy that last year the Railway Ministry had completed the survey of Kataria Rail Bridge from Bateshwar place. This Ganga bridge will connect Deoghar to Naugachia via Hansdiha, Godda and Pirpainti.

It will also bypass five railway lines (Howrah-Patna, Deoghar-Dumka, Bhagalpur-Rampurhat, Jamalpur-Howrah-Malda, Patna-Barauni and Katihar). Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently laid the foundation stone of Rs 100 crore schemes of Deoghar, Basukinath, Godda, Jamtara and other stations under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme on the initiative of Godda MP Nishikant Dubey.

With the construction of Ganga bridge, Bateshwar place, Vikramshila, Champapuri, Mandar, Tarapith, Deoghar, Parasnath and Basukinath tourist areas will be developed. Both Jharkhand and Bihar will benefit. Development will be fast. Migration may stop. Development of pilgrimage places like Deoghar and Parasnath will happen more rapidly. Godda-Peerpainti and Godda-Pakud railway lines have benefited the most from the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana. After the construction of Godda-Pakud railway line, the surrounding area will become an attractive place for tourists.
