610 kilometer expressway will connect 4 states from UP and Bihar, construction will start in April

Mr journalist, Uttar Pradesh News: Varanasi-Kolkata Expressway has got a big update. Construction of the first phase of the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata greenfield sixlane expressway is likely to begin in Uttar Pradesh next month. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the first phase of road construction. Apart from this, construction of other parts of this highway will also start soon. 

This is the reason why the land acquisition work in Bihar is in the final stage. The construction of this highway is expected to be completed by 2027. However, it usually takes around 15 hours to travel from Varanasi to Kolkata. Once the expressway is built, the journey will take about nine hours. This can save about six hours.

Expressway in Bihar will pass through here..

According to sources, the estimated length of this expressway is around 610 km and will cost around Rs 35 thousand crore. This route will pass through the southern parts of Kaimur and Rohtas in Bihar. This highway in Bihar is about 160 km. This highway will start from Varanasi and reach Chand on the border of Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar. Also, after traveling about 160 km, it will end at Imamganj in Gaya. The highway aims to build a five-km tunnel in the Kaimur hills to cross the Son river at Tilothu in Sasaram and reach Aurangabad via the GT Road.

Four states will get direct connectivity

The construction of this highway will improve the connectivity of the four states, sources said. This includes Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Moreover, connectivity with Purvanchal Expressway and other highways will make it easier to travel from Kolkata to New Delhi. This highway will start from Varanasi and enter Chand on the border of Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh in Bihar. After this it will reach Chenari in Rohtas district via Shahbazpur, Chainpur, Bhagwanpur and Bhabua.

The road will go to Bengal via Jharkhand.

Apart from the villages of Nisijha, Itwa, Akodhi, Bassini, Gangapur, Chamariaon, Dubauli, Pasai, Basuhari, Sonara, Pachhara, Thakurhat, Sabar etc. of Rampur block, the expressway will pass through 93 Mauzas of the district. This highway will enter Jharkhand from Hunterganj in Chatra and pass through Hazaribagh and Ramgarh and end in Purulia district of West Bengal.
