It is also called money tree. There is no need for any special climate for this. These can be grown anywhere. About 400 kg of wood is obtained from one tree, whose market value is up to Rs 30,000. In this way you can understand that in a short time, you can earn profit from eucalyptus cultivation up to hundred times the cost.

Eucalyptus is a money tree 

As you know, eucalyptus is currently being used the most in the plywood industry. Along with this, it is used in the form of furniture, fruit boxes and fuel. This tree becomes ready in 5-7 years. After harvesting from one Eucalyptus tree, about 400 kg of wood is obtained. The price of this wood in the market is up to Rs 7 per kg. If 3000 trees are planted in one hectare, then Rs 72 lakh can be earned in 6 to 7 years. Some people plant up to 4000 trees in one hectare, which can earn them up to Rs 1 crore.

It may sound difficult to you, but let us tell you that it is very easy to cultivate eucalyptus or (safeda). After preparing the nursery, it is planted in the fields in July-August. There is a huge demand for eucalyptus from the leaves to the roots of this tree. Usually the height of a tree is up to 80 meters. It is advisable to keep a distance of one and a half meter between one tree and another. 

3000 eucalyptus saplings can be planted in 1 hectare area. Actually, a total of 6 species of eucalyptus are grown in India. There is no special cost in growing Safeda. For this, all types of soil like black, sandy, loamy and sandy, barren and barren are considered suitable. 

Demand for eucalyptus in the country

The demand for Eucalyptus (Safeda) is continuously increasing in India. With the increasing population and the houses being built for them, the demand for plywood along with furniture is increasing. More than 2500 plywood factories are running in the country. There are a total of 15 plywood factories in Bijnor in UP where thousands of quintals of wood are purchased. Plywood boards and doors are manufactured from these factories.
