Thandai is considered to be a popular cooling substance on any festival occasion and amidst the scorching heat. If we talk about the last 10 days, people in Agra city of Uttar Pradesh have gulped down about 25 lakh glasses of thandai. A businessman selling thandai said that he has sold 48,000 bottles of thandai in the last 10 days.

Total consumption figure – Each bottle of 750 ml Thandai contains 25 glasses (if the glass contains 200 ml of drink then it will be 20 glasses) – 80 thousand bottles will make 20 lakh glasses of Thandai. 40 glasses (if the glass is 200 ml) of chilled water. In each kilogram of mixture, two lakh glasses are prepared from five thousand kg of mixture, three lakh glasses remain on the ground thandai at home, and a total of 25 lakh glasses are consumed.

Sisters gave tilak in the afternoon, even today Bhai Dooj will be celebrated for two days. Some people celebrated Bhai Dooj on Tuesday. Also, the festival of Bhai Dooj will be celebrated in most of the families on Wednesday. 

The auspicious time of Bhai Dooj occurred at 2 pm on Tuesday. Therefore most of the people did not celebrate the festival. This is the reason why the festival of Bhai Dooj will be celebrated in many families on Wednesday. The reason for this is that it falls on Dauj Udiya Tithi.

Dauz Tithi will remain till Wednesday evening. The festival of Bhai Dooj was also celebrated in the city on Tuesday. During this time the sweet shops were full. When Dwitiya Tithi arrived, sisters applied tilak on the forehead of their brothers at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
