Mr Journalist News, Land Scam: A case of encroachment on 27 acres of land by getting a lease of 4 acres of land in the Mainpat forest has come to light. A joint team of revenue and forest department has started its investigation. In the initial investigation, the complaint of encroachment has been found to be true and the process of cancellation of lease has also been started. Pegs and fencing wire have also been seized from the spot.

In collusion in Mainpat and Batouli circle number 9/2470, a fake lease of 5 acres of land was first prepared. After this, 27 acres of land was encroached upon under the guise of lease. This was complained about by the villagers. After this, Sitapur SDM Ravi Rahi had instructed the team to investigate the matter.

As per the instructions of SDM, Batouli Tehsildar Tara Sidar, Forest Department SDO PC Mishra, Sitapur Ranger Vijay Tiwari, Garden Department officials visited Mainpat Circle No. 9/2470 to investigate. The villagers' complaint was found to be true in the investigation. The forest staff seized the pegs and fencing wire kept for illegal occupation.

Former Sarpanch is involved in the case

In the investigation, it was found true that the former Sarpanch had got the lease of 4 acres of land in 9/2470 compartment of Mainpat and Batouli Circle fraudulently made in collusion. The
investigation team has said that this lease should be cancelled. At the same time, the granting of lease of land in the middle of dense forest to the former Sarpanch by the Forest Department is under question.

Horticulture department is also under question

In this case, the Horticulture Department has also been surrounded by questions. The Horticulture Department had also passed a loan for fencing wire and pegs in the name of four dead people without any investigation. In this, providing loan to former Sarpanch Rajnath is also under question. Now the sword of action is hanging over the officials in this case.

Illegal occupation in investigation

The investigation process is still going on. The facts that have come to light show that dense forest has been illegally occupied. It has also come to light that the Horticulture Department has given loans in the name of dead people. Currently, the investigation team has cancelled the forest lease and seized the fencing wire and stakes used for the encirclement.
