Now this bike will run on both CNG and petrol, price and mileage revealed
Mr journalist news Bajaj: Bajaj Auto can launch the country's first CNG motorcycle in June this year. The company is testing it extensively before launch. When they walk, they are also captured in the camera. Therefore, its features are also gradually emerging. Once again, its latest pictures have surfaced during testing.
Note that CNG fitted two-wheelers are not currently being manufactured in the country. CNG kits started being used in cars from 2010. At the same time, RTO-approved CNG kits are fitted externally in some scooters. This is why CNG motorcycles have captured the market from Bajaj.
Bajaj is selling high fuel efficiency Platina and CT motorcycles in the entry-level commuter segment. Platina 100 motorcycle gives the highest mileage. It has an ARAI certified range of 70Km/l.
More mileage is expected in CNG bikes. This motorcycle will consume the most energy in its category. Even today middle class people like motorcycles with high mileage. In such a situation, CNG model will be a better option for these customers.
The 110cc engine can be found in other motorcycles of the company. Seen in the Platina 110cc and CT 110X, this engine produces 8.6 PS of maximum power and 9.81 Nm of maximum torque on petrol. The engine has a six-speed gearbox. Some changes will be made in the CNG engine, due to which its torque and power may reduce slightly, but the mileage will improve.
Bajaj's CNG motorcycle is expected to have a bi-fuel setup. In such a situation, this bike may have an adjustable switch, which will allow the driver to switch from CNG to petrol or CNG to petrol. The petrol tank will be in the normal position, while the CNG tank will be under the seat. Overall, Bajaj's CNG motorcycle is the best in this segment as it gives great mileage.
Bajaj's CNG motorcycle is expected to ride on 80/100 tubeless tires and 17-inch wheels at both ends. Can be found with rear drum and front disc combo combination. The suspension setup will consist of a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear.
There are ABS and non-ABS versions available. CNG motorcycles should have a semi-digital instrument console, which includes gear indicator, gear guidance and ABS indicator. LED headlights can be seen in the spy shots.
This Bajaj CNG motorcycle will be priced higher than the Platina 110cc motorcycle. The first ex-showroom price of Bajaj CNG bike can be Rs 80,000. From here itself it will be sold in the worldwide market.
It is also expected that CNG two-wheelers may also be adopted by other companies. The CNG two-wheeler segment will soon see tough competition.
