Due to this, a big update has been issued to electricity consumers. According to the update, 4 lakh smart meters will be installed in Ballia district of UP. The survey work of smart meters has been completed. GMR company has been given the responsibility of installing meters.

Electricity consumers can now control the smart prepaid meters that will be installed in UP through an app. Along with this, they can also turn the meter on and off as per their wish. 

If you are going out of the house for some work, you can turn it off. You can turn it on again after coming home. By doing this, your electricity bill will also be less. If you have gone out, you can monitor your meter through the app.

Whenever you go out, you can monitor your meter through the app. It is being told that about 35 lakh people live in this city. The electricity department supplies electricity to 30 thousand 702 transformers through 145 feeders.
